Gay Switchboard Dublin : Volunteer
Gay Switchboard Dublin is currently registering interest from prospective volunteers. Interviews will take place in September, with training commencing in October 2010.
Volunteers come from all walks of life, and bring many different skills to the service. In addition to our Helpline service, volunteers are required for a number of various roles:
- Fundraising
- Accounting
- Public relations
- Training & development
- Database maintenance
- Events planning
All volunteers identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual, and provide a non-judgmental, confidential supportive telephone service. Our volunteers provide callers with a high level of understanding and offer appropriate information and referrals.
We make a significant investment in our volunteers though their training and development. Gay Switchboard Dublin welcomes applications or informal requests for further information at any time.
If you are interested in volunteering or assisting Gay Switchboard Dublin, download an application form and return to volunteer@gayswitchboard.ie. If you require further information regarding volunteering, feel free to Contact Us.
"Switchboard has taught me a lot about my community… I have made some great new friends, and since we all have the same motivations and mindset, I know I'll be close to them for a long time to come. Long live Switch!"
